Buying through a marketplace does not mean the marketplace is the seller. Check which company is named as the seller in the listing, because warranty, cancellation rights and the return address depend on it.
What marks a trustworthy offer
A complete legal notice with a real postal address inside the EU, a clear cancellation policy, shipping costs shown before the order is placed, and a final price including VAT. A missing item here is not a detail, it is a signal.
Be sceptical of permanent discount campaigns with countdown timers, of stock that is always nearly gone, and of subscriptions pre-selected in the basket. Check the basket for added items before paying.
Your rights when buying online
